For instance, the insects might be drawn to the damp debris in and around the house. In this case, you should consider cleaning up the foundation and surrounding areas. These places must be kept dry and clean at all times. You could place gravel and white stones around those areas to discourage the critters from entering the house.

If the house has windows on the ground level, the insects can enter from these points. Check the window frame openings or in-between windows for small cracks and seal them immediately. You could also secure the windows with screens.

Here are some of the common removal methods for earwigs:

Boric acid: This is a natural insecticide to use for pest control. All you have to do is spray the boric powder in any area where you find the earwigs.

Cayenne pepper and citrus oil: Spread these natural insect repellents in the infested areas and entry points.

Vinegar: This is an effective insect repellent that you can wipe on areas which might serve as entry points for the earwigs.

Other options include using the vacuum cleaner to remove the earwigs quickly when you spot them in groups. The vacuum bag should be placed inside a sealed container and disposed of immediately. You should also dispose of trash and garbage regularly to discourage the insects from entering the house.

These are all good removal methods to consider if you want to eliminate earwigs. If those methods fail, you can opt for the most appropriate pesticides or insecticides.
